I just re-read my last post, and thought...these people just wanted to include us in their celebration of life with..weddings, showers, anniveraries, funerals etc. I should be honoured, instead of feeling put out about it screwing up my weekend. How selfish is that. If I could reach my ass with my foot, I would kick it. I am embarassed that I wrote that. I think I just need some time off work, so everything doesn't overwhelm me so much. I try to cram all the stuff I have to do into a weekend, and it's getting more difficult by the year. Poor poor pitiful me. Well, that's over... I have seen the light.
It was insensitive.
I am sorry.

Yeah, what Donna says. Just don't feel guilty for wanting some quiet time to do what you need or want to do. I rarely attend weddings, or showers, (there are gift deliveries), and I am ill if I have to attend a funeral.
Eveyone is allowed a grumble so don't feel guilty about it. I whine when I have to attend any of those occasions - I go but I get some grumble distance out of them first lol.
Hey, don't worry about it. We all feel like that sometimes. I actually didn't want to go to my step-grandson's wedding; but once I was there, it was great!! I watched everyone get drunk on either "love" or "liquor", and laughed. The only problem I had; to drive the groom's brother home drunk as a skunk. hahahaha
