Brenda Challenge Blog

Hi, I just did a few things I love to do. I am in no way good at editing pictures, but I love trying and seeing the results. I used Digital Image Pro (7) there are better versions of it, but I like this one the best. You get stuck on versions that seem right for you.

This is a picture I took in my back yard last summer.

Then, just for the hell of it, I changed it up to black and white, and used the "colorize brush" to paint the flowers and leaves a different color, and left the background in black and white. I did this quickly tonight so you might see where I COLORED OVER THE LINES...damn my first grade teacher.....like I said, I did it quick ...plus my computer really hates me when I do it because it uses so much memory, so I can't do to much at a time. So, that's it.

This is a picture my boss took of our office building. Can you see the ugly shadow of the telephone pole on the lawn? I know this is an easy fix, but I just love making things disappear. So I used my cloning tool, and cloned the lawn on the shadow. Poof... and it was gone. Magic.

This one again is easy, it's just adjusting the brightness and contrast. No big deal.

And this picture is purely for your enjoyment. As I was going through my pictures I found this one. No alterations have been done. I used my husbands vintage Lincoln Continental as a resting spot for my plants before I put them in the garden last spring, because MEN...clutter up the garage.
I think Fat Kat loved it. She looks so peaceful.
Thanks for popping in. I love editing stuff.

Those are fantastic!! I haven't learned to do the selective coloring yet, that's next on my list of things to learn. I love the clone tool/brush, I clone the hell outta stuff.

These are all wonderful! The disappearing shadow is one of the most important tools to use. I like to help clear up complexions, wrinkles, extra chins!!!! I have to say my favorite is the last one and nothing was done... sometimes you don't have to edit. What a great photo! The car never looked better!

Hahahaha, great job! I love that cloning tool too. Way to much fun to make things disappear. Wish it would work on some people, LOL! You did a wonderful job on the B&W with colored areas, using a reduced opacity to give a hint of color. So retro looking, don't you think?

And the old car looks grand with all the flowers on it!

It may be easy, but I haven't figured out how to make the shadows disappear yet! I love the Lincoln with the flowers on it. Yes, husbands do like to clutter up everything!!!LOL
